DENVER, Colo. -
If it feels as though you've been seeing running back Knowshon Moreno everywhere but on the Denver Broncos practice field so far, you have.
While that may not be appeasing many Bronco fans yet, it's definitely a good thing for Moreno's marketing team at CAA sports and their star client.
As of Tuesday, the Broncos have not yet inked a deal with their first overall draft selection, but Moreno has already inked a deal with Reebok. Moreno is set to make his national commercial debut for the big shoe company next month.
"Things are going well. We got the shoe/apparel deal done for him with Reebok. He actually shot two national commercials for them last week. He shot the spot last week in Philly," one of Moreno's representatives told me via text Tuesday morning.
"We finalized the deal only a few days before the spots were filmed."
Reebok is conducting a campaign that celebrates the NFL training camp tradition of pulling pranks on rookies who merely do their best to keep pace with playing professionally.
Certainly you've heard stories of rookies being duct taped to the field goal post, having their mattresses doused with water, and their spikes filled with whip cream among many others.
Reebok's roll-out of these new ads will highlight light-hearted moments like these, and Moreno couldn't be happier to take part.
"[Moreno] is real excited that Reebok not only wanted him to be part of their family, but wanted him to be one of the main guys they featured in advertising," added the same rep for Moreno. He's pumped to be part of the Reebok family."
Moreno's marketing team is seemingly doing a good job in parlaying his draft status, and his obvious natural charisma. Before the launch of this new Reebok campaign Moreno's public presence on television already felt ubiquitous.
Moreno is a part of a campaign that also includes former Broncos wide receiver and present New York Giant Domenik Hixon, and Giants quarterback Eli Manning among others.
