WASHINGTON - A Marine pilot from Colorado has helped make history, as part of the first all-female crew to fly the president on Marine One.

Maj. Jennifer L. Marino of Palisade, Colo., served as the copilot on the flight that took President Barack Obama from the White House in Washington, Thursday, to Andrews Air Force.

The three-person Marine One crew was made up of entirely women in honor of Marine One pilot Maj. Jennifer L. Grieves of Glendale, Ariz., who was on her last day in rotation. She was designated the helicopter aircraft commander of Marine One in May, 2008.

Also on board was crew chief Sgt. Rachael A. Sherman of Traverse City, Mich.
