CHENGDU, China -
A drug addict is caught on camera dangling his two-year-old from an eighth floor window, before threatening to jump.
"The Sun" reports Hu Binjun, 34, held the terrified toddler out of the window for three hours before a rescuer crawled along the ledge and rescued the child.
Binjun had been threatening to drop the tot from the window of his flat in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, before killing himself. Crews say all attempts to talk him down had failed.
That's when fireman Chen Long, 22, crawled along the 100-foot long ledge unseen and grabbed the girl. Binjun tried to grab her back, but fell into his apartment where police managed to handcuff him.
An angry crowd, who saw the entire incident, attacked Binjun as he was brought out of the building, for threatening the child's life.
The two-year-old suffered bruising on her arms and legs but no serious injuries.
Binjun's wife said the couple had argued in the early hours of the morning and that he had been taking drugs. He tested positive for substances.
