Child found safe after thief steals car with her inside
DENVER - To hear 6-year-old Tatyana Wallace tell it, she wasn't scared, "but my grandma was mad!" Mad that Tatyana was sitting alone in the backseat of the family car Friday morning. A car that was still running when someone stole it!

"Yeah I panicked," says Tatyana's mother, Tia Greer. "I was really thinking this is the last time I'd ever see her again." Thankfully it wasn't. Denver Police say a suspect stole the car in the 28-hundred block of Jackson St. early Friday morning in Denver's City Park North neighborhood. But once he realized he had kid cargo, he quickly jumped ship, leaving the car just a few blocks away. Tatyana says the suspect briefly talked to her, "he said, 'how you doing?'" The little girl was not hurt.

The suspect is only described as a black male with a leather jacket, last seen southbound on Harrison St.

As for Tatyana and her mother, they are now the ones giving advice on the practice of "puffing," or the act of starting your vehicle, then walking away. "Never leave your child alone under any circumstances," says Greer.
