LAKEWOOD—
Three masked burglars broke into a Lakewood Medical Marijuana dispensary overnight and not only stole most of the merchandise they made off with a 250lb safe containing nearly $5,000 in dope.From surveillance video it is clear the thieves knew their way around the store. The entire robbery took just three minutes and wiped out the store that opened five months ago.
"It makes me so mad" said owner Chris Branan.
The store serves about 200 patients and just installed the surveillance system that caught the bandits on camera.
Unfortunately for Lakewood police the thieves wore masks during the entire burglary. They did come prepared however and even used a crowbar to rip the safe from the wall bolts. The only thing left during the robbery was the store's ATM which has a large sticker warning of a GPS tracking device inside.
The Branan brothers promise not to let the bandits keep them from providing pot for their patients, "we are going to get going again."
