Investigators on Quarry Hill Drive in Parker, Colorado. (July 10, 2009)
PARKER, Colo. -
The break-in artist gained access to a home in the 16000 block of Quarry Hill Drive in the Stonegate subdivision in Parker, by climbing through a second-floor window. Once inside, the suspect sexually attacked an eight-year-old girl while she was sleeping.
Once her parents learned the intruder was inside, they called 911 and deputies arrived on scene within two minutes. The searched the neighborhood but were unable to find anyone matching the description given by the little girl.
"I hope he tries to come in my home," said neighbor Bill Lloyd. "I have a second floor window open and just inside there are a couple of Barbie dolls by the window and some cookies too I hope he does come by our house I've got something else for him!"
Lloyd has two young girls, six and eight, like others in the area he can't believe anyone would target young children like this.
Police are stepping up patrols in the area and say solving this one is a high priority for them. If you know anything about the attack, call authorities.
