Jefferson Co. deaths ruled a murder-suicide

A landlord showing a home to a potential renter made a gruesome discovery Sunday when two bodies were found inside the residence, Jefferson County investigators said.

The bodies of a man and woman, both ages 27, were found dead from gunshot wounds inside the home in the 23000 block of Kiowa Road. Officials say it was a murder-suicide and the male decedent was responsible for both deaths.


The victims' names were not released pending notification of family.

The landlord told authorities that the couple had been living together for several months, but had recently sent a notice that they would be moving out.
