Construction zone crash kills 1 person
BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. - One person was killed and other were injured in a crash on Interstate 25 near Highway 66. Part of I-25 near Mead was shut down following the crash late Thursday night.

The Colorado State Patrol says a car and two motorcycles were stopped or had slowed down along southbound I-25 when a second car hit one of the motorcycles and the other car. The motorcycles then collided, and one of them went off the road and caught fire.

The operator of the motorcycle that was rear-ended was ejected and killed. The victim's name wasn't released. No other injuries were reported.

Authorities say inattentive driving by the driver of the second car, 49-year-old Valerie Rudnik Vagher of Aurora, was the contributing factor.

Charges are pending.
