DENVER - A Denver man has been arrested for allegedly selling sex while knowing he was infected with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.
Darren Garcia, 29, faces charges of prostitution and possession of crack cocaine.
Police say Garcia offered to perform sexual acts in exchange for $50 when he was arrested on Nov. 6.
Garcia, who appears to be transsexual or transgender, is well-known to Denver Police. Officers say he's been arrested and charged with similar acts numerous times.
Bond was set at $75,000. Garcia is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
