COLORADO SPRINGS - There is now another man adding to the already bizzare story of disgraced New Life Church pastor Ted Haggard. The church admits offering the young man a settlement of sorts two years ago to keep his homosexual relationship with the married pastor quiet.

In a letter posted on the New Life website from current pastor Brady Boyd, the pastor speaks of a "man who has decided to speak to the media about his alleged relationship with Mr. Haggard"

The pastor admits that church leaders provided the male church volunteer with "pastoral care", "counseling" and "financial assistance" if he didn't go public with his story. That male church volunteer's allegations came to the attention of church leaders about two years ago soon after male escort Mike Jones's story of a "cash for sex" relationship with Haggard forced the nationally known pastor to resign in disgrace.

"For people that had been so nasty towards me, that called me names. Perhaps they should thank me, because if didn't say something, this stuff would still be going on", Jones told Fox31 News on Saturday.

Saturday, at New Life Church, congregation members remained tight lipped but, at least one responding to the new allegations about their former pastor.

" Muhammad Ali or someone like that said--"He who slacks during training. Will be expoosed by the bright lights of the ring" And, so when we slack, and we do things in darkness, we think no one will ever know, it does get exposed at some point", said New Life Church member Josh Granick.

An Associated Press reporter reached Ted Haggard on Friday night. Haggard declined to comment and referred all questions to an HBO publicist. Haggard has a Larry King promotional appearance scheduled for this Thursday night.
