Super-green 'Good Building' now renting
DENVER - Colorado's U.S. Senators Mike Bennet and Mark Udall took time out from law making in the nation's capitol to help dedicate the Good Building, which is Denver's first certified LEED Core & Shell designation for an existing building.

"This was an old, dank, dark, cold building," said Mike Moore of Tres Birds Workshop. "We came in put in windows, solar panels on the roof, and solar tube lighting that has helped open up an old cinder block warehouse making it perfect for offices and other businesses."

The Senators are aware that their side of the Congress is considering the Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act, which is the first bill to take a comprehensive approach to the problems created by climate change and dwindling oil reserves. It aims to create millions of new, well-paying jobs, protect air and water from pollution and, generally, make America more energy-independent.

"We know being green makes green," said Sen. Bennet.

"We know that Colorado has all of the natural resources needed to cash in on the coming Green economy and projects such as this are a big step in that direction."

."We have to be leaders in this Green economy and I am glad that state and local leaders are moving forward to make sure our forward thinking business folks are ready to take advantage of the new environment," said Sen. Udall.

The Good Building is located at 3330 Larimer in the River North Neighborhood.
