Denver cop accused of flashing gun to fast food worker
AURORA, Colo. - Aurora Police are investigating a Denver Police officer for a possible case of felony menacing.

FOX 31 News has learned that two off duty Denver officers pulled up to the drive-through window at the McDonalds at Tower and Hampden. It was about 3:20 a.m. on May 21st.

Co-workers say the overnight employee told them one of the officers became agitated and angry because he thought they were taking too long to take his order. The employee says the black officer accused him of being slow for racial reasons.

The employee says the officer then told him he was a cop and showed him a gun.

Sources tell us the officers then got their food, paid for it and left. And the fast food restaurant employees called police.

Aurora Police say they plan to turn their case over to the Arapahoe County District Attorney's office Friday. The D.A. will decide whether to have the officer arrested and then what if any charges to file.

Sources tell FOX 31 it is a "he said, she said" kind of case, with both officers denying doing anything wrong. Denver Police are not commenting and the officer's name is not yet being released.
