DENVER - Family and friends are mourning the deaths of two Colorado service members who lost their lives while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Marine Corporal Max Donahue, 23, from Highlands Ranch Colo. died Aug. 7 from wounds suffered during combat operations in Helmand province in Afghanistan, defense official said. He was assigned to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group based at Camp Pendleton, California.

Army Specialist Faith Hinkley, also 23, from Colorado Springs died on Aug. 7 in Baghdad from wounds suffered when insurgents attacked her unit in Iskandariya, Iraq, the Department of Defense said.

Hinkley was assigned to the 502nd Military Intelligence Battalion, 201st Battlefield Surveillance Brigade based in Washington State.
