Body found in Centennial

Arapahoe County Sheriff's investigators are trying to identify a body discovered in the Willow Creek subdivision near County Line Rd. and Yosemite.

Authorities received a call on a "man down" at about 5:30 Friday morning. They found a man in his twenties or thirties on the ground, deceased.


Sheriff Grayson Robinson said there were no obvious signs of injury, but the case is being investigated as a homicide. He said they will know much more after the coroner has had a chance to examine the body.

Officers combed the neighborhood to determine whether anyone was missing, but Robinson said it did not appear the victim was from the immediate area. They also checked cars in the area to see if any were connected to the man's death.

It is possible the man was killed somewhere else and the body was left in the subdivision.
