BRIGHTON - A teacher at Brighton Collegiate High School has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a student some time in the last week.
Ralph Kelly was arrested early Thursday morning.
He teaches German and Social Studies and is on paid administrative leave.
He is the third teacher from that school to face these kinds of allegations in the last two years.
Teacher Carrie McCandless gained national attention last year when she plead guilty to unlawful sexual contact with a student.
Before that substitute teacher David Mundy Jr. plead guilty to similar charges.
"This is a repeat situation," said one mother.
She and other parents attended a school board meeting Thursday night.
The school attorney said the board was being totally transparent, but some parents were frustrated.
"I'm considering looking into other schools because to me as a resident and a parent it's embarrassing," said a parent.
