The eating's good at a Brooklyn park, now that the Latin American food carts are back.
It's opening weekend for the food vendors at Red Hook Park, and the crowds are already waiting.
The food carts have been there for years, selling the flavors of Latin America to the crowds who came out to watch soccer. Last year, the city Parks Department decided the vendors had to start following the concession regulations in place in other areas and apply for permanent licenses. That lead to concerns they'd be priced out.
But the department approved the vendors earlier this year, giving them a long-term permit.
